Wood Fibers, Inc. material processing plant was started in 1980 by Robert Gunville, Jr. The business is located in the town of Niagara in Northern Wisconsin on the WI / MI border just 100 miles north of Green Bay, WI. Our location gives us access to an almost unlimited source of renewable raw material, which is delivered to our facility daily for processing.
Prior to the 2008, Wood Fibers' main focus was manufacturing premium boiler fuel used by the local paper mills to generate electricity and dry paper. Material is gathered from sawmills in the surrounding areas, processed at our manufacturing plant in Niagara, WI and delivered to the paper mills by Gunville Trucking, another division of the companies owned and operated by the Gunville.
In addition to the boiler fuel, Wood Fibers also began producing landscaping mulch, which is for sale in bulk quantity to the general public and to landscape companies. Whether you are looking for 1-2 yards to beautify your home or you are a landscaper looking for a truckload of 75-100 yards delivered to your location, Wood Fibers can meet your needs. Please refer to our Products Page for details on the mulch we have available or contact us about your landscaping mulch needs today!
In 2008, Wood Fibers became further diversified. With the need for lower cost heating that's environmentally friendly, our research and development departments designed and built a state-of-the-art pellet manufacturing facility to accommodate consumer needs. To date, we have the capacity to produce over 90,000 tons annually. We are a year round manufacturing facility with heating and animal bedding pellets available for sale to large and small retail outlets.
Over the years, Wood Fibers, Inc. has become a leading producer and distributor of premium residential and commercial heating pellets, animal bedding pellets, premium boiler fuel and organic landscape mulch.
